Acupuncture and stone medicine.  These sessions cost $80.  Your treatment will be individualized to your specific needs and will entail a unique combination of acupuncture and stone medicine which uses rocks and minerals naturally created by the Earth for healing purposes.  Where appropriate and with your consent, your services may also include:

  • Cupping. Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which special cups are placed on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. Cupping is used to treat pain, inflammation, congestion and restricted blood flow, and promotes relaxation and well-being.  This modality can leave round, cup marks on your skin (check out the marks on Olympic athletes).  The marks fade within a matter of days.

    • Gua Sha. Gua sha is a therapy that involves applying massage oil and scraping your skin with a smooth massage tool to improve circulation and break up stagnation.  This modality does leave temporary red marks on your skin which fade over a couple of days.

    • Moxabustion.  Moxabustion (moxa) is a form of heat therapy in which dried plant material (mugwort) is burned close to the surface of the skin.  Moxa warms and invigorates the flow of energy in the body and dispels certain pathogenic influences.  Because this modality is smoky and not recommended for inside, I will provide you with the tools to self-treat with moxabustion at home.

    • E Stim. Electroacupuncture is a highly effective treatment for certain types of pain, fatigue, and chronic ailments. Needles that have been inserted into the body are attached to a device that delivers gentle electrical pulses between two points.  The electrical stimulation enhances the effectiveness of the needles, helping to restore the free flow of energy in the body.

Microneedling Facials. This service costs $200.  Microneedling Therapy is a skin-rejuvenation procedure that involves the use of a pen-like device that oscillates a tip up and down to stimulate a skin reaction, inducing cell turnover and provoking the healing process that results in skin transformation. The mechanical action of the pen allows tiny needles to puncture the skin triggering the production of new collagen and elastin.  Microneedling is used in combination with hyaluronic acid and other serums to hydrate and heal the skin, and red-light therapy to increase absorption and stimulate heathy cell production.  Three to four weeks is recommended between microneedling facials to allow for complete healing of the skin.

Nano needling uses the same type of oscillating motion to treat the skin but the cartridge encompasses 81 silicone tips instead of needles. These microscopic cones separate the cells allowing regenerating serums to be pushed into the skin. This service is also combined with red-light therapy and results in pigmentation reduction, increased cell turnover, skin rejuvenation and an immediate glow with no downtime. This treatment can be done weekly to exfoliate the skin.
