Elevated Acupuncture is owned and operated by licensed acupuncturist Kim Fatica. She obtained her four-year Master’s Degree in acupuncture from the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture (PIHMA) in 2015. She graduated at the top of her class, receiving the Academic Excellence Award, and was the recipient of the Dan Bedgood Award for Service based on her many volunteer hours to the acupuncture community. She is currently licensed in the state of Arizona and nationally by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
Acupuncture is not Kim’s first vocation. She was a lawyer for 30 years while raising her two sons. With the empty nest on the horizon, she had an opportunity for a career change. After plenty of soul searching, she knew she wanted her second career to be less about conflict and more about wellness. Acupuncture was a natural choice, having experienced its powerful healing abilities from the perspective of a patient.
After graduation, Kim’s commitment to service continued. She has volunteered her services internationally, providing acupuncture treatments to some of the poorest people in the world. She worked three medical missions in Cambodia and helped train medical professionals working in a low-cost medical clinic in India. Closer to home, she provided reduced-price acupuncture treatments to seniors in a retirement community in Chandler for a number of years.
